Ludwig Van Beethoven is widely regarded as the most original, intense and technical classical composers of all time. The strange fact that, unlike Beethoven's contemporaries that he was deaf for a long time until his untimely death.

Beethoven's deafness been gradual because of a fever. Beginning to show major symptoms of twenty years and finally lost his hearing in more than thirty years. This disability is directly related to their profession, passion and love for music as art. He had a terrible effect on his life and times cited in his letter to his brother. "But what I feel humiliated when someone close to me, I hear the distant sound of a flute, and hear nothing, and when someone hears the song of a shepherd, and I hear nothing! "Shocked by the despair, the German captain had even thought suicide but decided to continue composing.

He took lessons from the great Mozart and Joseph Haydn and performed in his own concert at the beginning the 17th century. Later, because of their hearing loss and who has not acted on the piano, but his creativity and writing do not impede and, in fact, finally. He wrote nine symphonies during 1800-1824 and the state of perfection widely acclaimed. His latest works are five piano, violin, music voice and opera, including the oratorios. Erocia his Third Symphony was written when he was completely deaf. Although it is widely regarded as a classic, Eroica reflects the complexity of the Romantic era of music.

Their diversity and talent can still be expected at the time of his imagination has created masterpieces he called a genius. He extended the duration of the symphony and piano concerto, increasing the number of strokes in the chain and the addition of instruments like trombone bassoon, piccolo and orchestra, but gives an incredible depth and breadth corresponding. His compositions for piano bold elevated the status of instrument was then a relatively new instrument (invented in 1710). His most and driving are famous Eroica (3rd), fifth, Pastrol (6th) and Coral (9th) symphonies and piano concertos in the fourth and fifth.

It is surprising that these compositions invincible never ever heard by the master himself. When tempos are used to provide the driver during the procedure that never again hear the ovation. The choir used to turn his chair into the crowd to know what a dramatic compositions response used to attract crowds.

What are some lovely solo violin / concert?

I want to know what some of the solo violin the most beautiful and / or concert pieces are there.

The "large" are definitely the concert of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi and four concert seasons. You must listen all in their entirety, but is a little more at first, so here is how it started: in E minor Mendelssohn: home w / first movement (perhaps part time more beautiful violin) Brahms: The second movement is beautiful, it's slow and delicate, and the third movement is intensely bright Tchaikovsky: The main theme of the first movement is very famous and beautiful, the second movement is dark obsession Vivaldi: The four seasons are very short, is not all, but I would start w / spring and summer first third mvt mvt Beethoven: It has to grow on you, the third movement (clear live) is probably the best known of the second movement of Bach's E major and the third and first movements of his concerts for children are good, they have more than one Baroque dance atmosphere. Some works not with the violin concerto leading Beethoven's two Romances should for violin and orchestra (in G major and F major), are soft and very famous, and also Pas de Deux from The Nutcracker (very lush and soft play, is very famous.) Also, try on a Bach Air G-string and Albinoni's Adagio (not alone, but they are beautiful, the air is sweet, the adage is a very tragic) There are many more (Prokofiev, Vivaldi concerts more ...), but they are real gems. Hope this helps!

Piano Works

Piano Works

A brief history of the piano

If you plan to take piano lessons - or if you take - is a good idea to learn something about musical tradition that will participate. After all, the choice of anyone to play the piano is made in a vacuum. No, we have decided to learn the instrument because of its special qualities and unique musical history.

Unlike children to play the piano, whose lessons are often urged to do if the adult players by parents, Piano wish I had as much knowledge as possible of our instrument. This knowledge not only improves the gaming experience, but also motivates us to play with care and respect for our piano teachers. This is true both for those who read music and play by ear.

Most players are aware of the piano that the modern name of the instrument is actually a shortened version of his original name, "piano", which is a compound Italian words for "soft" and "strong." This name was given to the instrument again to omit him out of his instrument, the harpsichord, the volume range is much less flexible than the piano.

While earlier instruments such as harpsichord generate sound by hitting the strings, piano was the first instrument to generate sounds when able to reach the strings. Invented in 1700 by Bartolomeo Cristofori, instrument maker from Padua The revolutionary mechanism of the piano with hammers returning to their normal position immediately after the strike, has a greater degree of control and nuances than previous instruments.

Rightly, the second generation of pianos - which came shortly after Cristofori and his supporters "of innovative developments - commonly called "Mozart" was piano. Mozart, whose job was both the culmination and embodiment the music during the second half of the 18th century, was an extremely popular, even in his time. His decision to play, compose for and perform on the piano, has done more to popularize the instrument than any other person has. Like most of his works, large and small, popular and darkness, were composed and published for the piano, Mozart's music has always been a major selling point for the instrument.

When Mozart died in 1791, the industrial revolution began to take root in Europe, radically transform all aspects of life, including including music and the arts. In early 1800, technological advances have allowed the piano to move almost entirely in the modern instrument that we play today.

Technological advances steel cable and iron piano frame arrived just in time for use in works by Beethoven. Some music historians have even suggested that his impressive musical genius of Beethoven final simply not been possible earlier in the composer's life. It is thanks to changes in the piano, the instrument Beethoven loved above all others.

In the late 1800s, the piano was almost fully developed in the instrument that we have now. It composers piano works because romantic and modernist as Chopin, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Stravinsky and sound as if they could have been written today. In addition, thanks to unprecedented power and scope of the instrument, and piano works of Beethoven and other innovative, these composers were able to extend the instrument beyond its first directory, the major influence. In summary, the wide range of music 20th century - from traditional compositions, experimental orchestral music, jazz, blues and rock - would not have been possible without the piano.

And here we are today, proudly carrying the tradition of the piano in the 21st century. As you know, The piano is now commonplace in American homes of the middle class. Many children grow up hearing their parents play, and many pianists themselves become an early age. In addition, as scientific studies continue to show the benefits of music throughout life, recent years have seen an increase in music adults. Because of its beauty, simplicity, versatility, and his long and varied history, the piano is the best option for adult musicians to develop.

Orchestral Works

Orchestral Works

Edgar Degas' career was long - about 60 out of 83 total. And his style, unlike the most famous artists who worked in his old age, never left development, always seeking new ways of expression and technique. The art dealer Ambroise Vollard one day, I asked why he never married, and she said he lived in constant fear that when completed a new painting, I heard my wife say, "It's so beautiful what you've got there! . Indeed, despite its almost universal recognition and popularity of his images, was never a classic sense of beauty that attracts talent.

Hilaire Germain Edgar de Gas (It was only later that he began to sign his works "Degas) was born in Paris, the eldest of three boys and two girls born to a wealthy banker and his wife Neapolitan family Creole New Orleans. It was actually named after his grandfather - Hilaire Degas, a banker from Naples, Germain Musson, a trader New Orleans. However, his mother died when he was 13 years.

He was educated at the Lycee Louis-le-Grand, a famous school of the elite, where he received a classical education and also met their friends for a long Rouart Henry Paul Valpincon and Ludovic Halevy. Having received his BA in 1853, he enrolled in law school, although he prefers to spend his time in the print room of the Louvre, where He had already made copies of the engravings, and visit the studios of painting Barrias Felix and Louis Lamothe. In 1855, he entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and began Lamothe to formally study with a disciple Ingres.

No need to study and compete for the Prix de Rome in 1856, left for Italy, first visiting his family in Naples. In October 1857 he visited Rome where he met Gustave Moreau, and an influential figure of eight years his senior. They became friends and visited Florence together between June and August 1858.

From 1865 to1870 Degas exhibited each year at the Salon de l'Automobile in Paris. He also befriended Berthe Morisot and Edouard Manet, and the summer of 1869, he joined Manet in Boulogne and Saint-Valery-en Caux, where he painted landscapes. Of all the artists of the time, is, without doubt, with which Manet had more affinities. Both were under the most Impressionist circle, and both were from wealthy families so they can also meet in social circles of his family.

Events tragedy of the Franco-Prussian and Commune of Paris in 1870-1871 years, with a long stay in Louisiana to visit his family since October 1872 March 1873 marked a break and both a turning point in his career. With the outbreak of war joined the National Guard with his friend Manet and many other artists, but extreme cold during the siege of Paris affected his health and bad at the beginning of the Commune of Paris, went to rest in the Orne with family friends Valpincon.

It was during the 1870s that Degas acquired his reputation as a painter of dancers. The reasons for his interest in dance were numerous and varied, but questions raised by his enthusiasm throughout the music and opera. The interior of the opera were also many scenic attractions - the possibility of unusual views of the scene from the balcony or the orchestra pit, contrasts between light and darkness, illusion and reality, beauty and banality.

Following the theme of the dance was what attracted most attention races. Racecourses were a new phenomenon in France, are introduced in England in the 19th century. The Longchamp stadium opened in 1857 and was heard what inspired Degas, Manet and, later, Toulouse-Lautrec. The exclusive Jockey Club was inaugurated in 1833 and attracts over for the same upper classes who have participated the Paris Opera.

His first solo exhibition held at Durand-Ruel Gallery in 1892, consisted of an extraordinary series of monotypes semi-abstract with better color representing mysterious landscapes. In addition to landscapes, his style will not change dramatically thereafter, although the subjects tend to grow in size - as before, for example, was a dance together, can now be focused on the numbers two or three in foreground. This was, without doubt, to some extent because of his poor eyesight.

Degas was another reason for the mysterious power of his works later: "One thing is to copy what you see, but it is much better to draw what can be seen in the memory. It is a transformation in which imagination collaborates with memory ... where his memories and fantasies are liberated from the tyranny of nature. "

Degas continued to fight against blindness and worked until about 1912, when he was forced to leave his apartment where he lived for a quarter century and move to a location more convenient on the Boulevard de Clichy. But it was a terrible experience which he never recovered and, despite the enormous success International and the high prices commanded by his works from 1900, he became sad and indifferent to fame. He died September 27 1917 during the war, causing his death almost unnoticed in the world - although perhaps a bit to the man who said: "I want to be famous, but unknown! He was buried in the cemetery of Montmartre.

Of the following, which is an orchestral work by Berlioz? A. Harold in Italy b. Romeo and Julieta C. d. Symphonie Fantastique Symphony Italian?

Although Berlioz has created numerous symphonies based in Italy, his best guess is (c) Symphony Italian. The responses supported: (a) Niccolò Paganini (1782-1840) encourages Berlioz (1803-1869) to write Harold in Italy. The two met after a concert of Berlioz's work by Narcisse Girard at December 22, 1833, three years after the premiere of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. Paganini had acquired an excellent viola Stradivarius - "But I'm not good music. Would you write a viola? Only you can trust for this task. "(B) The composition the dramatic symphony Romeo and Juliet in 1839 was made possible by the generous donation of 20,000 francs Berlioz Paganini, after the great virtuoso had knelt before Berlioz in public after a concert at the Conservatory December 16, 1838 and hailed him as the heir of Beethoven. Work conducted for first time in three concerts conducted by Berlioz at the same Conservatory, November 24, December 01 and December 15, 1839, before an audience including a large Part of the Parisian intelligentsia of the time and contained no other than Richard Wagner's Tristan and Isolde, which in 1859 had obvious signs of impact the music in him. The work has not reached its final form until several years after its composition: after a performance of the work complete in Vienna January 2, 1846, the first since 1839 and the first overseas, Berlioz decided to make several cuts and changes major in the prologue, the Queen Mab Scherzo, and the final total score was not published until 1847. (D) An episode in the life of the artist Opus 14, usually known by its subtitle Symphonie fantastique (Fantasy Symphony) is a symphony written by French composer Hector Berlioz in 1830. It is widely considered one of the most important and representative of the early Romantic period, and remains very popular with the public concert in the world whole. The first performance took place at the Paris Conservatoire in December 1830. The work has been revised several times between 1831 and 1845.

String Quartet

String Quartet

When guests arrive for your wedding, should be welcomed by a beautiful environment and a comfortable environment, and appropriate background music for the wedding. These wedding songs are heard before the official start of the ceremony, which is usually presented by the Prime procession or parade of parents (who will be explained later EzineArticles here). Of course, Metallica and Black Eyed Peas are probably not what you want to play, but that does not mean you have to use music that your guests to sleep!

Many people go the music route classical string quartet or trio of artists such as Bach, Brahms, etc. Another way would be typical piano, guitar or other instrument playing the same solo. If this is what you've always dreamed of hearing before your marriage, then proceed to him. Many couples use classical music for your ceremony or playing solo classical instrument. These are good but the setting for the wedding today, people spread their wings and branch out!

I recently had a string quartet arrangements touching love song by the Beatles, Journey and Dave Matthews. Of course, if for the results of these songs, but they were free, as an investment for your group. There are also modern pianists like Steve Siu, who recently extended his versions of contemporary songs by Toni Braxton, Josh Groban and Coldplay same! It is a harpist who has called Hillary Stagg Electric has good pre-ceremony music on CD or iTunes. Another popular artist is Enya. I know, seems a bit too early 90s but always bring new things to work Ideal for before the ceremony.

Finally, collection of love songs old and new, which works well if they are kept at the appropriate level. Almost all artists in the world recorded a love song for what should not be too difficult to find artists 5-10 work for you. Add to your list of 20 songs to your DJ or put on a disk and you're ready to go.

The marriage songs you choose to pre-ceremony music should reflect your ideas, style and taste. Do not be afraid to speak. It is After all, your wedding. Choose your wedding song. His musical ideas. Be yourself and your guests will love it!

James is a southern California DJ/MC/Host and Wedding Planner and loves helping his clients with their wedding planning and wedding music. He can be found at Wedding Songs and Music Ideas.

I need a name for a string quartet?

Need a name for a string quartet from high school. We are concerts and quartet in high school lot. Violin Violin 1-2, Viola Cello Girl Girl-Girl (Me)-Guy

Octavius Quarto, elementary four lines, only a few unusual options. Or if you really want may include intellectual leader TS Elliot poem, Four Quartets, which actuallity has little to do with the music, but it makes you Smart Sound. :) What are the interests of their group, what is your school mascot, what are the things that your group common? It is also a good way to get a name.
