I know, music has been on the web for years. But lately, my soul, it seems that the search for more information. Especially the big issues past. Is it me or Southern Gospel Music does not get sweeter as the years go? My background of Pentecost and were born a Christian again for more than 30 years and I will say that my appreciation for southern gospel has really grown, especially recently. Maybe it's just my taste for things of my past, maybe just a desire of something simple and pure. I do not know. But what ever is I must admit that I adore. Passionate BIG! And only improved on the Internet.

If you're unfamiliar with the streaming music online, well, my friend, out of the cave! There are dozens, even hundreds of stations that are transmitted gospel music in the south, via the web. It is very encouraging to hear again, as the South Sound group, the Triumphant Quartet, Tally, etc., and besides, nothing Gaither! As I write this post I'm listening to the Cathedrals singing "Master Builder". It's delicious!

Back to the future

One of the wonderful things about returning to my roots (musically anyway) is the voice scanning and the movement of many great artists. The trios and quartets simply can not be defeated by something that is given us in worship sterile, the music being pumped today. No. It is not surprising that many Christians are shallow. Are you missing an element very important to their rides for not being able to be immersed in the melodies of the wonderful musicians and singers such as The Kingsmen, The Crabb Family, The Legacy of the Five and Perry. Groups like these can take my soul to the sites that contemporary music does not seem capable of doing. Call me old fashioned I guess.

Several songs needy groups mentioned, and the large number of have-have been very important in my prayer life. They touch me and touch me and remind me of things I should have my mind. And that rarely happens when I hear a lot of what passes for music in the gospel today. And I do not close the only artists of today as far as I am that we use in our churches. (Legacy Five - Strike Up The Band plays)

You know, I do not know how I am far from the good old music. In some courses for years as the wayyyyyyy contemporary gospel music seems to be built is the way in my life. Unfortunately, for worse. For me, is too empty. Too empty. It's never really about Jesus, heaven, streets of gold, belief, etc. Now, I do not intend to close the integrity of the whole family and some insurance really blessed me, but somethings just not the same. Seems to lacking in passion for southern gospel. Sogo is a bit like country music. It seems more tangible, closer to real life.
